How to Tie a Clinch Knot

Tips & Tricks: Knots
Let's tie a Clinch Knot. Ideal for attaching flies, hooks, and lures to our line when no extra articulation is needed, this is a strong knot that can be tied in a few seconds.
We'll start by taking the working end of our line and threading it though the eye of our hook.
After folding the working end of our line back towards the standing end, we'll wrap the working end around the standing end between 5-7 times, depending on the diameter of our line.
From here, we take our working end and feed it through the loop created near the eye of the hook, and finally cinch it down tight, trimming our tag end to an appropriate length.
