How to Tie a Uni Knot

Tips & Tricks: Knots
Let's tie a Uni Knot. Similar to the clinch knot, this is another great knot for attaching flies, hooks, and lures to our line when no extra articulation is needed, but out performs the clinch knot when using braid.
To tie this knot, we'll start by taking the working end of our line and threading it though the eye of our hook.
From here, we fold the working line back towards the standing line. If this looks familiar, that's about to change. Instead, we'll loop our working line back towards the eye of our hook, creating the number "6" before wrapping the working end around the two standing ends between 3-6 times, staying within the loop we just created.
Finally, we pull our working end through to cinch up our wraps and snug the entire knot down towards the eye of the hook. If your tag end is pointing in the same direction as your standing end, you've successfully tied a Uni Knot.
